Sherri Gullickson
Sherri is the mother of a child diagnosed under the DSM-V with Autism ('ASD'), and a qualified Australian Lawyer. Sherri is working hard toward ensuring that children with ASD are truely welcomed, included and receive adequate adjustments for their individual needs within mainstream education in Australian schools, and their local community.
Education
Education is the largest area of contention for a lot of families living with Autism ('ASD'). BC Kids provides families with more in-depth discussion about how to help their child cope in learning environments, what rights their child has at school and how to ensure their child is receiving adequate adjustments in the classroom.
Healthcare & Lifestyle issues
When first diagnosed with Autism ('ASD'), families are overwhelmed with information and what early intervention strategies are necessary to help their child. BC Kids will give families tangible tools to get them through today while waiting for appointment dates with professionals as well as other helpful ideas.
